| It
was already about 6.15pm, the sun had already set. We lost
our hope for the day hunting to capture the wild Leopard,
but our ranger looked at me and said “I think there
is another place we could take a look”. We rushed
off with our land rover as fast as we could and the moment
we reached the drying pond from far the leopard was staring
at us. We turn off our engine. He moved forward and closer
to the pond slowly, taking a few steps to find the spot
to lap the water. Wow! That was great, my heart was beating
fast trying to get my hand stabilize with my lens, having
low shutter speed with the dim light I have, take a deep
breath and let go my shutter. That was a precious moment.
The sky turned dark in just a few minutes and that was it
to end our day. We went back to our base camp. |

The
next morning we went back to the same place where we saw
the Leopard last night hoping to see him again but he wasn't
there anymore. Due to dry season most of the pond are drying
up, so we decided to look for other pond to try our luck
and guess what, just as we arrived, we saw only the back
of the Leopard walking into the forest.
Leopard loves the morning and evening sun and most of the time they are hiding
is the forest. So if you hope to see them... you now know what to do.
